Urgent: Donut Shortage!

A sign in the bakery section of the Hawaii Kai Towne Center Safeway informs customers of a lack of donuts due to a supply shortage on Tuesday, Oct. 6. According to Long Beach Port Authority, there are a record 62 ships backed up at ports in Los Angeles and Long Beach, CA, due to increasing cargo loads, labor shortages, and COVID-19 safety precautions which slow the handling of each ship.
