The movie Jurassic World Rebirth is “the newest Jurassic World movie, Jurassic World rebirth is an original, new and exciting movie,” according to Dani Kessel Odom at Screen Rant. As it is a spin-off of the Jurassic Park trilogy, it stars a different main character and a whole new plot. It also sees the comeback of old dinosaurs and new mutated ones. As they continue to explore the island, it gets more dangerous, and they will discover something that was hidden for decades.
What made the movie interesting was that, even though the island is full of unknown, dangerous dinosaurs, the group continued through the island to retrieve the DNA. Memorable lines from Jurassic World Rebirth include Dr. Henry Loomis’s philosophical statements like, “We don’t rule the Earth. We just think we do,” and “Intelligence is massively overrated as an adaptive trait,” reflecting on human and dinosaur conflicts. It also reflected on how humans do not know what they were doing when creating dinosaurs, and the real dangers of the dinosaurs.
The story flow was mediocre, as it focused more on horror and the part where they run away and escape from the dinosaurs. However, their characters were underdeveloped, and the movie failed to establish genuine tension or stakes for the humans, reducing them to just obstacles for the dinosaurs. I don’t know what the message is, as the movie is mostly an action film.
I don’t think they should have revived dinosaurs in the first place. This movie, overall, was filled with horror and action. Although there was no dedicated soundtrack, the ambient music helped some scenes stand.
A memorable line from Jurassic World Rebirth includes Dr. Henry Loomis’ philosophical statements like, “Nobody cares about these animals anymore.” This quote suggests that the island the dinosaurs inhabited has been abandoned. This is a bad thing because allowing the dinosaurs to freely roam the land can be dangerous, as people who come to the island not knowing the activities of the island will be in danger due to the island being abandoned. The mutant dinosaurs like the disastrous rex, which is a failed experiment to make a T. rex, the d-rex can escape its enclosure, and due to it being a failed experiment, we don’t know how powerful it can get and make the island even more dangerous.
I think the movie is bad, even though I like it.
Jurassic World Rebirth has times where it delivers, but at the end, it fails to fully deliver. Its soft reboot, which was meant to bring back the original Jurassic Park atmosphere, shows the franchise’s inability to move on with new ideas. I would recommend the movie to anyone who isn’t familiar with the Jurassic Park trilogy or those who just want a thriller horror/action film. The movie does have great action scenes and a bunch of new and old dinosaurs make a comeback, which could make it feel new and exciting.
