Kalani VS Kalaheo

On Friday August 21 the Kalani football team played Kalaheo at Kaiser field. The JV game kicked off at 5:30, followed by the Varsity game at 7:30. The JV team lost 44 to 7, but when the Varsity team stepped on the field everything turned around and Varsity won 28 to 6. After the game on Monday I was able to interview Sean Silas, the Varsity star running back.

     Question:How did you feel about the win on Friday?

        Sean: “I feel great, I think we deserved it, we worked hard for it.”

       Question:  Was the game was a challenge or a blowout?

      Sean: “It was challenging, their defense played really well but our offense played better, and our defense stopped their offense.”

      Question: Which part your team did you feel worked best?

      Sean:  “Our defense making stops was very crucial [for the win].”

     Question: Will we be seeing big plays from you for the rest of the season?

     Sean: “Yes.”

     Hopefully the Kalani team can keep up what they did on Friday because if so then we will have a great season. Go Falcons!
