In this day and age teenagers are obsessed with sharing their day-to-day lives with everyone they know. What is considered a technological revolution and a up and coming trend, social media sites cause things like teenage suicide, bullying, lack of communication, and lack of concentration. Walking around these days you see teenagers with their head in their phones or laptops never looking up, to talk to their friends, or even walk across the street. Things like Facebook or MySpace teaches us to type and speak in an instant messaging jargon of things like “OMG, LOL, ROTFL, TTYL, ATM”. Things like twitter keep teenagers entertained for hours with out them having to leave their rooms to see daylight. Children are growing up too fast and start using social media at such a young age that their imagination is sucked away from their minds and filled with what Justin Bieber or Beyoncé had for lunch. To stop this demolition of imagination and teenage spontaneity, there is only one option abolishing all social media websites. If the world can get rid of all social media websites than it will force humanity and anyone who realizes on social media, particularly teenagers, to go out more into the world and experience real life.
With the help of the state and federal government we can easily wipe away all traces of social media. They can create laws to make any form of social media illegal. Those found creating or trying to use social media will of course have to be faced with consequences such a time in prison or appropriately priced fines. The banning of social media will create a safer society with the decrease of bullying and suicide rates. The need for glasses will decrease because children will start having 20/20 vision due to not staring at their cell phones all day. Teenage car accidents will decrease because they wont be checking their Instagram likes every 5 minutes. Teenagers will have to look at a person and talk to them not DM them or tweet them, allowing societies youth to become far better communicators. No more hiding your cellphone in your lap to check your favorite celebrities post during a lecture in chemistry class, students will be forced to pay more attention. Abolishing social media would be the only solution to create a thriving society, and save the intellect of the next generation of adults, that are presently on their cell phones currently checking Facebook and twitter. Make the right choice and delete your social media accounts and encourage others to do so as well! G2G, hAvE GR8 dAy TTYL!!!1!
