Drones become increasingly popular in the state of Hawaii as operation becomes easier and quality gets better. As we see them popping up more and more, regulations become more important to us. Hawaii must abide by all U.S drone laws. For example, drones may not fly above 400 feet, five miles from airports, and above state parks. In addition to these laws, all drones must be registered and labeled with the registration number. Hawaii does not have any specific rules. Photos by Lucy Fagan 2018.
