This past Thursday, Sept. 7 marked yet another matchup of rival schools, Kalani High and Kaiser High. Thanks to Shaena-Lyn Noda, the girls’ varsity volleyball team brought home another win with a two-game sweep.

Noda is off to a great start to her senior year. She received the Oceanic Time Warner Cable OIA Volleyball Impact Player Award. Playing both outside hitter, and opposite, she was able to pound out an impressive 7 kills and 3 digs throughout the game.

Although the first set was a close one at 25-23, the Lady Falcons were able to find their rhythm in the second set, finishing it off at 25-13.

The hard work and commitment this team has really show on the court. They practice six days a week, starting off with one and a half hours of conditioning, followed by a two-hour practice.

This team has big plans for this season to make it to states and take the title!

The Kalani Falcons will be back in action starting 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 12 where they will take on Anuenue.
