The Falcon boys’ volleyball team defeated the Kailua Surfriders in three sets 17-25, 25-18, 15-10 for their first game of the season at Kalani’s home gym last night, Monday, March 4.

Senior and captain Keoni Thiim returned for his 3rd year on varsity and lead his team to victory with 15 kills and eight digs.

“In the first set I was very frustrated with our performance,” Thiim said. “The second set came around and I knew we had to win so I pulled myself together. Then everything just went up from there.”

The Falcons finished last season with a 4-3-0 record. They will battle the Governors next at Farrington this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
