Kalani wrestling coach Racer Moody celebrates with freshmen Ashlyn Wang and Slayter Kamimura who both won their weight divisions at the Oahu Interscholastic League (OIA) JV Wrestling Championships on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Kailua High School. “Slayter Kamimura won with a last second takedown,” Coach Racer says. “Match of the day for sure.” The competition started on Friday, Jan. 23, with wrestlers competing throughout the day. The finals were held on Saturday.
