Kei Akana is a Sophomore and is a reporter for Ka Leo Kalani. He is currently taking Newswriting 1 under Brooke Nasser’s management. Kei was an editor at Washington Middle School and helped make various articles. 

Kei was born in Aichi, Japan, and moved to Hawaii when he was about to enter 2nd grade. Ever since then, he has lived in Hawaii and enjoys living his life. In his free time, he likes to work out or exercise. His dream is to become a pilot and he often goes to his flight school for training.  Kei also loves animals and is a dog person. Although he also likes cats, he prefers dogs since he has two dogs.
