This is the bench at the Kalani vs. Kailua girls basketball game at Kailua High School on Dec. 21. Being a benchwarmer has its pros and cons. Sitting on the bench can help you learn from your fellow teammates. You can also understand the plays better from watching the game. When you’re a benchwarmer, cheering for your teammates is expected. It’s exciting to encourage your team! A con of sitting on the bench is not being able to play! Being in the game is invigorating and lots of fun. Being on the bench isn’t that bad, but it is better to have fun and get involved with your teammates. Kalani’s Girls basketball swept Kailua, JV won 45-7 and Varsity won 85-23. Photo & caption by Brianna Martin 2018.
