Long lines at Costco

Shoppers in Hawai’i wait for admission to Costco, clumped and in winding lines. Staff accepted a group of customers for every group that exited, minimizing panicked shopping and the potential spreading of the coronavirus. However, Costco lines, unlike those outside of stores like Whole Foods, do not have social distancing precautions. Honolulu reached 343 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 5 deaths by April 10.
