Priscilla Louie (11) carefully looks at Mana, the bunny in her arms, on Monday, Sept. 29 at the front of E building. Every period 3, Louie and Tennessee Idol (10) walk one of the bunnies. With the help of Ms. Alexis Doran, teacher and club advisor, students in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) class learn how to interact with and care for animals and nature. Currently, three bunnies, Mana, Momi, and Tony, live in J4. This Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway welcomes more students. Louie encourages people to join the class.

Two Kalani Students, Teagan Link (11) and Nicole Inayoshi (11) share an embrace at Kahanamoku Beach after completing the Na Wahine O Ke Kai, 41 mile paddling race from Molokai to Oahu on Sunday, Sept. 28. The historic race across the Kaiwi Channel honors the tradition and legacy of Hawaiian canoe paddling but specifically the wahine to celebrate their endurance and passion for the sport. A race reserved for men now proves the capabilities of all women.

Kalani’s Class of 2026 Senior Sunrise, September 1. Students gathered at Sandy’s Beach at 6:15am to celebrate and memorialize their last year of high school. Students socialize and reflect on their entrance to senior year as the sun rises upon the shore.

Hi, my name is Jericho Carlos. I am a sophomore at Kalani High School this year. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and really like adventuring around and exploring new places. I just moved to Hawaii from California this year. I have met really amazing people and really like Kalani. I also have a dog who I treat like my kid. I want to work toward becoming a news writer/reporter in the future.
