This Friday, Oct. 24, after school, in room D13, HOSA will be selling ice cream for $1 per scoop.
It will be vanilla ice cream, plus an extra dollar for chocolate or strawberry syrup, with no limit on scoops.
There will be a deal; half off for HOSA members!
The money is a part of a larger HOSA campaign to fund the class, its members, and the annual State Leadership Conference (SLC) competition.
SLC is a competition among HOSA members across the state that tests a variety of medical expertise and skills. It’s a beneficial event for striving medical students.
Kalea Maglidt (12), the president of this year’s Kalani HOSA chapter, emphasizes “supporting the members” as without fundraisers, the individual cost of participating in SLC is “quite expensive.”
“Ice cream is a great light dessert that can cool you off on a hot day,” Maglidt voices. “Not only this, but we do have an excess amount of ice cream to use up!”
