Cady Brand is a freshman at Kalani High School. This year is her first year as a news writing student. She is quickly discovering how tricky news writing actually is. Cady writes about what she finds interesting. She feels like she thinks about what other people would want to read. She tries to fill her articles with humor, but it is difficult at times. Still, she is determined to improve and write engaging articles. So far, Cady’s favorite article has been about sports. She chose to write about cheerleading because it interests her very much.
