Welcome New SASA, Mrs. Hayashi!

Among the scores of new faculty that joined Kalani High School this year, Dana-Joy Hayashi doesn’t see Kalani from the same viewpoint. Hayashi became the new School Administrative Services Assistant (SASA) in June 2021; her role is to oversee staff and aid administration, rather than teaching and advising students in the classroom. Her list of duties is exhaustive, ranging from secretarial tasks to fiscal management, tacked on top of administering student, staff, and school records. Nevertheless, she feels “every role here is an integral part to which makes the Kalani Falcons,” and looks forward to being a part of “this awesome team!” Photo and caption by Virgil Lin.
