Leave No Trace

There has been a noticeable amount of trash around Kalani High School in recent weeks. At first glance, you could guess it is blown by the wind. However, the types of trash littering campus change each day. This is a friendly reminder to please throw away your garbage.

On campus, there are at least two trash cans per building or section. Next to the cafeteria building, there are over four garbage receptacles.

On the red bench photographed about a week apart, there is garbage underneath and on top of the table. The trash left behind seems to increase week-by-week. This table, next to the administration and cafeteria buildings at Kalani, are near two trash cans.

Some reasons for the litter could be the wind, forgetfulness, or people who have no care for the environment.
